Learn English Grammar
- What is a sentence?
- A group of words arranged in logical order giving a complete sense.
- Examples.The Sun rises in the morning.
- I get up early in the morning.
- In the morning .These are group of words having no complete sense.
- Question? What happens in the morning?Such group of words are called phrases.
- Subject and Predicate:
- I love dogs.
- I is the subject and love dogs.is predicate.
- This sentence has a subject( who) I ,the predicate the action word (verb) love, dogs (object)
- This verb love here is called a transitive verb because it has an object dogs.
- I like very much.
- Here in this sentence I subject like intransitive verb for it does not say anything about the object.
- I love dogs. You love dogs. dogs is the object.
- Who loves dogs? I is the subject. loves verb.

- There are eight parts of speech in English
- They are Noun,Pronoun, adjective, verb,adverb, preposition,Conjunction and intejection.
- Examples:Dasaratha is the king of Kosala kingdom.
- Dasaratha is the Noun. so also king and kingdom.
- Ayodhya was the capital city of Kosala kingdom.
- Ayodhya is a noun. city also a noun.
- A Noun is a name of person, place or thing.
- Dasaratha is the name a person. So it is a proper noun.
- KOsala is the name of the kingdom .it is also a proper noun.
- Ayodhya is also a proper noun.
- He ruled the kingdom wisely.
- He stands for King Dasaratha. It stands for the king Dasaratha. it is a Pronoun. Pro means stands for .
- He was a wise and kind king. What type of a king was he? Wise and kind Wise and kind are adjectives.
- They are called adjectives.
- They qualify the nouns.
- ruled and was are action words They are called verbs.
- wisely answers the question how?
- it is called the adverb modifying the verb ruled and was.
- He held the bow and arrow in his hand.
- In show the position of the bow and arrow.
- The cow is under the tree. Where is the cow? under the tree. It shows where the cow is and the position of the cow.So it is a preposition.
- Conjunction: It adds one and one .
- Like You and I are friends. Here the and shows the connection of you and I.
- Interjection: is the word expressing emotions,feelings etc.
- Oh! I found the answer.
- Congrats! you won the game.
- Ah! what a pity!
- These show the things happening and the feelings go with it.
What can we learn?

- Observe,listen and learn.
- You can learn many things.
- Keep you ears and eyes open,
- You can learn more than
